This week, my daughter joined me in a Zoom call to co-teach a Mandala Drawing module for members of her school community. The attendees included kids ranging in age from 5 to 12 and some parents.
I was amazed at the range of creativity, the artistic confidence and the new perspective this audience brought! I don't do live online teaching, so it was a completely new experience for me and to have folks follow along, ask questions, share their work during a mid-drawing check-in made it so much more enjoyable.
I'm now contemplating doing more sessions online that are not hyperlapsed but in real time and that have an interactive section as well as a forum for students' work to be shared. What do you think? Should I pursue this idea further? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.
At the end of the video, you can see images of works shared by attendees from this morning's tutorial.
If you make mandalas with me, do send a photo, so my daughter and I can appreciate your creativity!
