For decades, the notion around women’s fitness has been “eat less”, “burn more”, “lose that”, “tone up”, etc.
It’s an unrealistic, unsustainable and often even dangerous tactic that’s insanely impossible for women to fulfill. It’s a false ideology of what we “should” be to appear more pleasing and attractive.
Train to be strong, prepared and able. Eat to be nourished and healthy.
Because somehow women’s fitness for all these years isn’t actually about fitness or our wellbeing at all.
It’s time for the narrative of selling products and services off being somehow “lesser” of yourself and off insecurities, and change into empowerment and being your loudest, concrete and enthusiastic self.
Whatever that may be for you. Because for me, few things are more empowering than that of a barbell and gaining control of my health with longevity in mind.
